Job Description

We take pride in supporting traditional artisans in hand block printing, contributing to preserving this beautiful craft.Role Description:Position: Senior MerchantLocation: On-site, JaipurType: Full-timeKhatritex Jaipur is looking for an experienced Senior Merchant to join our team. The Senior Merchant will manage day-to-day merchandising operations, including product development, procurement activities, and market trend analysis. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of operations, from negotiating with suppliers to overseeing the timely delivery of high-quality products.Key responsibilities include: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Managing product development processes and maintaining quality standards. Production, Inspection and Packaging planning. Managing staff accordingly. Negotiating pricing with suppliers. Drafting and responding to emails efficiently. Assessing market trends and sourcing innovative product designs. Ensuring all operations run smoothly and within deadlines. Placing orders of the items used in products, such as labels, tags, polybags and cartons.Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of work experience in textile exports. Proven experience in merchandising, supplier management, and market analysis. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Knowledge of home textile industry trends and product development processes. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively. Proficiency in data analysis and inventory management. Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities. Experience in fair trade practices and working with traditional artisans is a plus.
