Job Description

    As the Collection Team Leader for our wholly-owned subsidiary of Indian Bank, you will be responsible for driving the effectiveness of our collections strategy and operations. This role demands a strategic leader to guide and optimize the collections department. You will work closely with bank stakeholders and manage a diverse team to enhance performance and ensure compliance.Qualifications Proven experience in a leadership role within collections or a related field. Strong understanding of collections strategy, performance management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, analytical, and team management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.This role is pivotal in shaping the success of our collections operations, requiring a proactive and strategic leader to drive performance and maintain high standards.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Strategy Development And Execution Develop and implement a comprehensive collections strategy that aligns with the companys business objectives and regulatory requirements. Continuously evaluate and refine collection approaches, including field collections and outbound calls, to maximize efficiency and results.Team Leadership Lead and supervise Regional Collection Managers and field collection teams. Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to enhance team skills and productivity.Performance Management Set and monitor collection targets for the team, ensuring that goals are met or exceeded. Develop and implement performance measurement and incentive programs to drive results.Quality Assurance Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure ethical and accurate collection practices. Conduct regular audits of collection activities, documentation, and customer interactions to maintain high standards.Field Collection Collaboration Coordinate with the field collection team to ensure effective integration and communication between field and non-field collection efforts. Provide support and resources to enhance field collection operations.Compliance And Regulatory Adherence Ensure the collection team adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Stay informed about changes in collection laws and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with RBI guidelines and the code of conduct.Reporting And Analysis Prepare and present regular collection reports to senior management, using data-driven insights to inform strategic adjustments. Analyze collection performance metrics to guide decision-making and strategy refinement.Internal Stakeholder Engagement Maintain strong relationships with bank stakeholders.
