Job Description

Role Overview The Regional Manager Level 3 Agency Channel is responsible for leading and scaling the agency business across assigned regions by managing multiple teams and agency leaders. The role focuses on team handling, agency productivity, recruitment, and performance management to drive sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Team Handling & Leadership Lead and manage Regional / Area Sales Managers, Agency Development Managers (ADMs), and Team Leaders Coach and mentor managers to improve leadership effectiveness and on-ground execution Drive performance culture through regular reviews, goal setting, and feedback Handle people escalations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans Ensure engagement, retention, and career progression of high-performing team members Agency Channel Management Drive recruitment, activation, and productivity of agents/advisors across the region Ensure strong onboarding, training, and certification of agency partners Monitor agent performance, persistency, and quality of business Implement company sales strategies, contests, and incentive programs Strengthen relationships with top-performing agents and agency leaders Business & Target Achievement Achieve regional business targets (Premium, Revenue, Active Agents, Case Count, Persistency) Monitor key KPIs and take corrective actions to improve underperforming locations Ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and audit requirements Operations & Compliance Ensure adherence to IRDA / regulatory guidelines and company policies Maintain high standards of documentation, customer service, and risk management Coordinate with Operations, Training, HR, and Finance teams for smooth functioning Reporting & Reviews Review daily/weekly/monthly MIS and dashboards Present regional performance updates to senior leadership Track recruitment, productivity, attrition, and business quality metrics Key Skills & Competencies Strong team handling and people development skills Proven expertise in agency channel sales Leadership, coaching, and execution excellence Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management
