Job descriptionJob Title: Diesel Mechanic/FitterLocation:Northern Ireland, UKExperience:3-5 YearsEmployment Type:Full-TimeUKVI IELTS 5.5 score each band requiredJob Summary:We are hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Fitter responsible for inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines and heavy vehicles. The candidate should have strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, etc.Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose faults in diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Repair and service heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, etc.
• Perform engine overhauling, clutch, gearbox, brake, suspension, and fuel system repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Maintain service records and job cards.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop procedures.
• Report major defects to supervisor/workshop manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• ITI/Diploma in Diesel Mechanic / Motor Mechanic / Automobile Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience in diesel engine repair.
• Experience with heavy goods vehicles (HGV).
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of engine overhauling and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical manuals and service diagrams.
• Physically fit and able to work in workshop/site conditions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
