Job Description

    Responsibilities:The Senior Finance Analyst, Germany will be responsible for the following:What needs to be done (Tasks/ Activities)Specifics, if applicable(With Whom/ What)Whats the end result Reporting and Control Executing month end processes and posting journals (IFRS/German Gaap) Ensure all P&L lines are well understood, with timely insight provided at month-end and key reporting periods ( i.e. Year End and Half Year) Proactive analysis to support issues arising from the above Timely reconciliation of Balance sheet and P&L accounts with thorough understanding of the balances and any risks and opportunities. Addressing all review points in a timely manner Prepare the P&L and balance sheet packs for manager review Support any requests from audit Month end close process on time and accurate financial reporting in line with expectations and clean audit review Management confidence around the completeness and integrity of the financial statements Allows better decision makingProjects Support on delivering key business wide projects. Work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders Identify efficiencies in our current ways of working and improve them without compromising controls Align existing A&C processes between the UK and Germany teams Help with system issues and configuration Germany operations set up for future growth in a controlled way Simple and efficient operating model with consistent approach across the UK & GermanyBusiness Partnering Building and maintaining strong working relationships with both Germany and international partners Supporting the above teams and line manager with ad-hoc queries and projects Raises profile within the wider finance team Assists in decision making Provides visibility of and more effective ways of working with other finance functionsKnowledge(Expert understanding)Skills(Expert ability)Experience(Proven expertise)Essential: University degree Qualified/Studying towards CIMA/ACCA/equivalent accounting qualification. Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.Essential: Strong double entry skills in Oracle Fusion Pro-active; problem solving and analytical skills to identify root cause issues Attention to detail, structured and organised approach Excellent communication skills with both finance and non-finance people Business fluent in English.Essential: 2-3yrs experience in an international organisation Project coordination or management experience desirable.Desirable: German language skill not required, but desirable. German Gaap knowledge (training will be provided) Understanding of hospitality industryDesirable: Knowledge of Oracle/Fusion Knowledge of FCC (Hyperion) Dayforce Oracle implementation experienceDesirable: Experience of reporting within a multi-site hospitality or retail business Involvement with providing support to auditors Experience of international subsidiaries,
