Job Description

    Job descriptionJAVA Backend Developer with Microservices ArchitectureExperience - 5 YearsJob Location - KochiWe are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join with one of our client, a German IT Service Provider. As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions. Your primary focus will be on Java EE and Spring-based development, with a strong emphasis on delivering reliable, scalable, and efficient applications.Responsibilities:Design and develop Java EE/Spring-based backend systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs. Write clean, well-designed, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.Conduct unit testing using Junit and other testing frameworks to ensure the quality and integrity of the codebase.Use Maven as a build tool to manage dependencies and automate the build process.Set up and configure Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.Containerize applications using Docker for efficient deployment and scalability.Work with Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage containerized applications in a distributed environment.Develop and maintain databases, primarily PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.Implement and consume SOAP and RESTful web services to facilitate communication between systems.Utilize Selenium for automated testing of web-based applications.Apply cloud knowledge, primarily AWS with a growing Azure component, to develop scalable and resilient solutions.Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Automotive domain, including industry standards, protocols, and best practices.Requirements:Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a Java Backend Developer, preferably within the Automotive domain.Strong proficiency in Java EE and Spring frameworks.Experience with Junit and other testing frameworks for unit testing.Proficiency in using the Atlassian Toolkit, including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.Knowledge of Maven for dependency management and build automation. Experience with Jenkins for setting up CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. Strong understanding of database systems, preferably PostgreSQL.Proficiency in developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services.Experience with Selenium for automated testing of web-based applications.Cloud know-how, particularly in AWS, with exposure to Azure.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.If you are a passionate Java Backend Developer and possess the required skills, we encourage you to apply.
