Job Description

    Job descriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Kitchen helper to join our kitchen staff and help maintain cleanliness and order in our team. The Kitchen helper will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are clean and ready for use.Key Responsibilities:Food Preparation Support: Assist in preparing meal ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing vegetables and fruits. Help in organizing and storing ingredients and supplies for easy access during meal preparation.Kitchen Organization and Maintenance: Ensure that all kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment are clean, well-maintained, and organized. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the kitchen, including countertops, storage areas, and prep stations. Clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashing areas as required. Follow all food safety and sanitation standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper storage of food.Dishwashing and Cleaning: Properly wash and dry all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments, and cutting boards. Neatly put away all utensils, cooking instruments, dishes, and cutting boards in their respective places. Remove garbage, replace garbage bags, and wash garbage cans. Mop and sweep the kitchen areas as required.Assisting with Inventory: Help with the receiving and storing of deliveries and ingredients, ensuring proper labeling, rotation, and storage. Assist in inventory tracking and keeping records of supplies to ensure there is no shortage of essential items.Supporting Other Kitchen Staff: Assist chefs and other kitchen personnel in various tasks as directed, including portioning ingredients and setting up the kitchen for service. Assist with plating or garnishing dishes under the supervision of the chefs when necessary. Help maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure that service runs smoothly.
