Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.Associate Analyst, Risk ManagementThis is a role that requires incumbent to work on the global processes related to firm Independence procedures.The opportunityThis opportunity will enable the professional to help the firm and its client serving professionals in making right decisions with respect to client & engagement acceptance, in sync with EY internal compliance policies and regulatory framework. This role will assist in evaluating the risks associated with each client & engagement and suggest ways to mitigate them. As an independence professional, this opportunity enables to drive projects for identifying & evaluations risks associates with firms audit clients, specifically maintaining firms independence with respect to audit clients and helping engagement teams in alleviating them.The candidate should be comfortable working in an unstructured & complex environment requiring out of box thinking, logical reasoning, sound communication skills and ability to make quick decisions. The candidate should be able to continuously add value to assigned processes and develop solutions for situations that may not have been previously documented.Your key responsibilitiesTechnical Expertise: Conduct research using both systematic and intuitive secondary research techniques Analyze the research findings, draw inferences and conclusions in response to the research requirement Understands key requirements of firm and regulators risk management rules and policies Uses analytical and project management methodology and tools Completes all assigned projects/tasks in line with the standard operating procedures Ensures completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of all task assigned Facilitates and drives the process to completion by timely following up on requests from engagement teams Plans and organizes own work and keeps the project managers/key stakeholders informed of status and activities Performs a self-review of the results prior to submitting to the project managers Flags issues/potential challenges to the project managers at an appropriate time so that timely action can be initiatedSkills and attributes for success Exceptional and proven customer service skills, including responsiveness and commitment to quality Highest standard of ethics, integrity, and values. Highly motivated with ability to perform well even when under pressure Role may require working post shift hours Plans and organizes own work and keeps others informed of status and activities. Ability to work well in a team and foster teamwork among others Ability to work with a global mind-set Good analytical skills with a logical mind-setTo qualify for the role, you must have BCOM/BA/MBA/MCOM/MA or equivalent post-graduate degree from a reputed institute 0 - 1 years of experience in a research / analysis role Candidates with exposure to handling international customers/client interaction would be preferred. Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills in English Intermediate level of knowledge in MS Office Must be well versed with financial instruments used for investment purposes like Shares, Mutual Funds, Insurance etc.Ideally, youll also have Basic knowledge about Risk Management and Auditors Independence Concept Presentation skills, including public speaking and presentation creation using PowerPoint or a similar program Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with dataTechnologies and Tools Experience in MS office suites like Microsoft 365, MS excel, PowerPointWhat you can look for A Team of people with commercial acumen, technical experience and enthusiasm to learn new things in this fast-moving environment A team which has its foundation in the core values of trust, respect and teaming.
