Job Description

    This job description outlines the responsibilities and qualifications for a Lead Operator in a Phosphoric Acid Plant. The role requires extensive technical knowledge and operational experience to manage the plants operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental standards, and performance objectives. Heres a summary of the main points:Position Overview: Title: Lead Operator Phosphoric Acid Plant Responsibilities: Operate plant equipment, monitor performance, ensure compliance with EHS standards, troubleshoot issues, provide guidance to operators, and assist in plant shutdown/startup. Role Flexibility: May be required to fill in for the Shift Supervisor or take on various roles during the shift.Key Duties: Operational Parameters: Ensure plant operates within prescribed standards, adhering to EHS protocols. Work Procedures: Develop and revise operating procedures. Performance Reporting: Regularly monitor and report plant performance to supervisors. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and help implement operational improvements. Shutdown/Startup Procedures: Follow safety protocols for plant shutdown and startup. Work Permits & Safety: Ensure proper work permits are in place and that safety standards are adhered to. Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct field inspections and follow up on maintenance work orders. Training: Provide on-the-job training for less experienced operators. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe workplace according to company standards. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promote and enforce safety and environmental standards within the plant.Qualifications: Education: Technical Diploma or equivalent. Experience: 8-10 years in plant operations, with solid knowledge of chemical processes. Skills: Leadership, planning, communication, and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office). Experience in international or remote environments is a plus. Languages: English fluency required; multilingual is advantageous.
