Job Description

    Role DescriptionAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving both project management and research and development efforts within the marine industry. Leveraging your expertise, you will lead the meticulous planning, resource management, and risk assessment essential for the successful execution of multiple projects. Your responsibilities will extend to coordinating with various departments and stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive control over project timelines, progress documentation, and fostering strong client relations. Moreover, you will spearhead research and development initiatives, utilizing technical platforms to identify challenges and innovations specifically within marine electrical systems. By integrating project management acumen with a focus on technological advancement, you will contribute significantly to the optimization of project execution and the advancement of electrical systems in the marine industry.Key Responsibilities Monitor technical community platforms for marine industry developments and identify opportunities for innovation using design thinking methodologies. Participate in research and development efforts to translate innovations into indigenous marine products while maintaining awareness of industry advancements. Supervise the design, estimation, and installation of marine electrical systems, including the development of customized products to support installations. Monitor and analyze real-time data from various installations, ensuring product quality through rigorous inspections and adherence to standards. Conduct feasibility studies, allocate resources, and manage project priorities based on viability assessments. Provide technical support for troubleshooting issues as they arise, collaborating with cross-functional departments to resolve project impediments. Liaise with statutory/classification societies for inspection and testing requirements and evaluate technical drawings for project feasibility. Develop project schedules, contribute to yard development, and oversee subcontractor management to ensure project progress. Ensure proper documentation of project-related certificates and inspection reports, implementing standardized processes for construction activities. Introduce innovative materials and processes to enhance production efficiency. Design the system for prototype (Alpha, Beta and pilot) development and testing.Qualifications Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering roles within the marine industry. Proven track record of project management, including leading teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in research and development, with a focus on translating innovations into practical marine products. Strong understanding of marine electrical systems design, estimation, and installation. Familiarity with real-time data monitoring and analysis techniques. Experience in troubleshooting electrical issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams for solutions. Understanding of construction processes and materials used in marine environments. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies. Strong leadership abilities to supervise and mentor junior engineers, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.,
