Job Description

    Housekeeping Assistant performs routine cleaning, maintenance, and restocking in residential or commercial settings, including hotels, healthcare facilities, and private homes, to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort. Key duties involve cleaning and making beds, dusting and vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, replacing linens and amenities, and disposing of trash. They must also follow health, safety, and security protocols, report maintenance issues, and maintain a positive attitude while working efficiently.Key Responsibilities Cleaning: Dusting surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms and public areas.Room Service:Making beds, changing bed linen, replacing towels, and restocking guest supplies like soap and amenities.Waste Management:Emptying waste bins and ensuring proper disposal of trash.Maintenance Reporting:Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.Linen and Supply Management:Keeping linen rooms stocked, maintaining housekeeping trolleys, and managing inventory of cleaning supplies.Safety & Hygiene:Adhering to health, hygiene, and safety protocols, and using cleaning agents correctly.Guest Service:Responding to guest requests and maintaining a polite and attentive demeanour.Essential Skills & Attributes Attention to Detail: Meticulously cleaning and maintaining spaces to a high standard. Efficiency: Working quickly and methodically to complete tasks efficiently. Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Communication: Effective communication with guests, colleagues, and supervisors. Teamwork: Working cooperatively with other housekeeping team members and departments.
