Job Description

    Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) is seeking professionals who can play a pivotal role in the finance function to support its multiple projects across locations. After making a mark in an extensive Lok Sabha election campaign and assembly election campaigns across Bihar in 2015, Punjab & Uttar Pradesh in 2017, Andhra Pradesh in 2019 and West Bengal & Tamil Nadu in 2021. I-PAC is now gearing up for the upcoming National Elections. If you are interested in making meaningful contribution and want to experience it from close quarters, then read on! Your responsibilities will include: - Maintain of regular books of accounts in the software as well as documentation related to it- Prepare MIS on a weekly basis- Perform general day-to-day accounting activities and ad-hoc analysis- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures- Ensure timely bank payments- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups on regular intervals- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns- Audit financial transactions and documents- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls- Liaise with the Finance Manager to report and improve procedures Qualification and Preferences: - Degree in Accounting or Finance is a must (Masters preferred)- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures- 3-5 years experience in general and tax accounting Core Competencies Required: - Strong knowledge of accounting software Tally- Advanced knowledge of Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables- Ability to function well in a team - oriented environment- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills- Good communication skills - written, oral & presentation- Flexibility to Travel,
