With a combination of dedicated research facilities for Amgen, Baxter, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Herbalife, as well as 1.9 Mn sq ft of specialist discovery, development and manufacturing facilities, Syngene works with biotech companies pursuing leading edge science as well as multinationals including GSK and Merck KGaA.The Role The role is responsible to Perform experiments towards crystallization, filtration, drying to support data towards manufacturing campaigns and perform experiments towards process intensification activities such as process feasibility evaluation, robustness testing, hypothesis testing etc. Design and execute process optimization activities using advanced statistical tools such as DoE (Design of experiments), QbD, FMEA. To Effectively use PAT tools (ReactIR, FBRM, PVM) for experimentation. Key Result AreasRole-specific:

  • Designing crystallization, polymorph screening experimental protocols, execution and data generation in the laboratory
  • Prepare Crystallization, Filtration and drying documents to support scaleup campaigns
  • Assist team lead in collating process engineering information across developmental projects
  • Attending client TC and responding to the queries appropriately.
  • Executing multiple activities and manage priorities
  • Coordination with multiple cross-functional teams for smooth execution of experiments/projects
  • Collating the requisites of RFPs and communicating across the stakeholders of the department
  • Information gathering exercise as and when required
Education and Experience EducationMaster s degree in Chemistry Industry Experience 3-6 years of relevant experienceOther competencies required for the role
  • Apply chemical engineering principles towards process and product development in the laboratory
  • Generate engineering data towards supporting scaleup activities
  • Perform experiments towards crystallization, filtration, drying to support data towards manufacturing campaigns
  • Perform experiments towards process intensification activities such as process feasibility evaluation, robustness testing, hypothesis testing etc
  • Design and execute process optimization activities using advanced statistical tools such as DoE (Design of experiments), QbD, FMEA etc
  • Effectively use PAT tools (ReactIR, FBRM, PVM) for experimentation
  • Provide investigation support towards process abnormalities and supporting troubleshooting of plant activities
