Big Data/Java Senior Architect

Job Description

12+ years of experience, including exposure to enterprise application architecture, design and implementation experience Deep knowledge on Big Data design across multiple platforms with extensive experience on very large data repositories. Skills include: HADOOP Framework, Ecosystem and MapReduce Experience with one or more of these skills: HDFS, Spark, HIVE, HBase, Kafka, Java, SQL and other large scale data technologies Experience in security implementation of hadoop environment using Ranger/Sentry Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages in any: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. Hands on in building real time & batch ETL/ELT solution using open source technology like Spark/Kafka Streaming. Exposure on Cassandra DB fundamentals Good Exposure with open source workflow management software like Airflow/Oozie Knowledge and experience of deploying and maintaining large scale advanced systems in production environments Demonstrated ability in driving business impact through the application of technology by leveraging the connection between data tools, analytical methods and business applications. Understanding on industrial best practices regarding the movement, manipulation, and storage of data in a big data solution including data ingestion, data storage options, query techniques, data variety, volume & velocity Apply knowledge and explain the benefits gained by organizations implementing strategies relating to: Big Data (incorporating Hadoop, and analytics), Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Cloud implementation, and DevOps. Ability to identify product, utilities, and tools commonly used in relation to the topics above. Ability to manage client engagements from start to finish, delivering actionable insight within established timelines and budget independentlyResponsibilities: Strong organizational awareness and the ability to work effectively at multiple levels within an organization. Equally comfortable in discussing technical/analytical details with technical thought leaders as explaining technical subject matter with a non-technical audience. Good verbal and written communication skills & must have excellent project management skills and have experience managing multiple work streams and projects at one time. Building, rebuilding & leading high performance teams. Proven track record of identifying and developing technology talent and leading a team of high-performance personnel. Collaborate with other technology teams and architects to define and develop cross- function technology stack interactions. Guide and manage development teams on optimal design and solution architecture Analyze existing enterprise architecture and perform architecture design review End to end responsibility of designing and architecting technology solutions Develop architecture, review design artifacts and coding done by developers, processes maintaining standards and quality.
