Job Description

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for:
  • Understanding the business requirement(s) and to converting them into technical specifications and reporting solutions
  • Developing and implementing TM1 coding standards
  • Designing and building successful technical solutions that involve TM1 cubes, dimensions, processes, rules, and executing the completion of the TM1 architecture for each project
  • Responsible for ad hoc SQL queries to review data, interrogate data, prototype solutions, determine requirements, and fix data errors
  • Implement Cognos TM1 Solutions by strategizing and designing a Cognos solution based on data availability, environment and user
  • Design and implement solutions to address performance issues on the servers and any long running TM1 processes
  • Produce all related system design and process related documentation
  • Be the single point of contact to provide support and administration of Cognos TM1 environment including server configuration and maintenance
  • Train new and existing end users on TM1 application
  • Bachelor s Degree in related field from an accredited college or university, and minimum of 6 8 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • IBM Cognos TM1 Master s certification preferred
  • Project definition and oversight related leadership role in large scale TM1 projects
  • Proven success delivering Cognos TM1 projects
  • Experience working on Finance and or Contact Centre related projects
  • Design/architecture related leadership role in large-scale Cognos Planning projects
  • SQL skills
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others
  • Providing excellent customer service with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to successfully interact with non-technical business users
  • Excellent communication and follow-through skills
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate working with the business community to implement solutions based on requirements and prioritization
  • Work successfully in a matrix environment working with a team of experts anywhere in the Company
  • Physical database design, including SQL, and tuning in a data warehouse environment
