Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesAnalysis Phase

  • Ensure that the analysis is complete and the requirements are clear, concise, and identify impacts and risks.
  • Ensure that the overall business perspective is considered during the analysis phase.
  • Communication with other DS Model Team members regarding requirements and potential solutions.
  • Communication with other teams and be willing to suggest alternative solutions or decline a change based on the business impacts, cost effectiveness, ongoing maintenance impacts, and risks to the data or downstream systems.
  • Ensure there is sufficient time to complete the SDLC.
Development Phase
  • During development, review the requirements provided by the analyst to ensure they are understood. If there is any uncertainty, the developer shall talk to the analyst to get clarification.
  • Identify how to implement changes to the existing models or create new models (only if the solution cannot be supported in the existing models) that will satisfy the requirement without negatively impacting existing logic.
  • o Communicate limitations and risks to the analyst before development begins.
  • o Seek opportunities to minimize and simplify the logic used in models.
Testing Phase
  • Review the requirements to ensure they are understood.
  • Verify that the data is loading into the system in a manner that is consistent with the requirements.
  • Verify that the configuration provided by the developer is understood and repeatable.
  • Perform a bulk load and identify any hard failures.
  • Identify any unexpected anomalies in how the data is loading.
Essential:
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Strong Written Communication skills (English)
Desirable:
  • Good to have basic knowledge on SQL
    • Academic Criteria: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent degree with Grade A. Experience Range (In years): Minimum of 1 Year Experience ,
