Job Description

    Deputy General Manager Projects - O&G PipelinesJob Summary:Responsible for controlling multiple project sites of Oil & Gas Pipeline projects and for successfulexecution of projects from start till commissioning. Responsible for cost control, P&L of projectsunder his/her domain while maintaining timelines, quality, & HSE standards.Responsibilities:Executing the project construction activities, in line with the project specifications, scope ofwork, schedule, and client requirements. Leads a team of Project Managers and manage theproject sites.Monitor and review project progress and ensure project completion in time and withinbudgeted cost.Prepares the construction schedule in conjunction with Project Managers/ PlanningEngineers with details on specific activities and respective dates of completion.Ensures continuous construction work fronts availability through preparation and review oflook ahead schedules with Project Managers, engineering deliverables and material deliveryschedulesAllocate and optimize resources among the projects under his/her control.Supervise project activities from strategic perspective.Constantly identify bottlenecks for progress on construction and proactively take action toresolve the same.Chairs daily, weekly & monthly internal meetings and ensures action points are liquidated ina timely manner.Constantly identify bottlenecks for progress on construction and proactively take action toresolve the same.Continuously assess, with the QC & HSE managers, the status of Construction Quality & HSE,and ensures timely closures of corrective actions & non conformance.Handle crucial project issues escalated by the Project managerFocus on stakeholder management and devise business strategy for cost control and profitimprovement.Coordinate and liaison with client/Sub-Contractor and certifying and regulatory authoritiesin order to ensure that the project is in compliance with all requirements.Handle various business development activities like study of upcoming projects, tracking ofcompetitor information, promotion of KEC business, visiting potential clients, makingstrategic alliances etcApprise HO in various strategic issues in the regionDecide on the margin to be quoted for projects based on regional dynamicsInteract seamlessly with clients, international authorities, and local authorities, and utilities,suppliers to get new and repeated orders.Plan and forecast project budget and human resource requirements for all projectsImplement engineering systems and controls in compliance with Health && Safety regulationsPromote and monitor various HR initiatives at project sitesIf you are interested kindly sends their updated resume on this id hidden_emailThanks & Regards,Anand
