Job Description

    Responsibilities & Key Deliverables Powertrain integration:-Experience in working on all range of commercial vehicles >3.5T to 55T-Understands vehicle performance related parameters of IC Engine, able to evaluate suitability/selection to vehicle & its application-Domain expert in design & development of engine support systems Air Intake, Engine cooling, Exhaust & Fuel system-Designed & developed above systems right from scratch till productionization-Responsible to meet Time, Cost & Performance requirements of the engine peripheral systems-Worked on IMCR projects & achieved significant cost saving-Able to develop technology road map & drive passionately for the execution-Analyse field issues related to PTI aggregates & act swiftly on the solutions (ICA & PCAs)Vehicle Calibration:-Led & contributed significantly for Fluid economy improvements & vehicle driveability -Led summer, winter & sea level trials to validate vehicle performance from vehicle calibration perspective-Overseen & driven ECU software/revision change management system-Interact with ECM supplier & lead development activities technically & commercially.-Study special application requirements from vehicle calibration perspective & give approvals with appropriate risk mitigation-Able to drive advance technology projects & integrate vehicle features into ECM Experience 15+ years-Worked min.10 years on engine peripheral system design & development Industry Preferred Qualifications BE/BTech General Requirements -Thorough knowledge of Truck & bus applications & ability to capture field inputs while designing the system-Well familiar with Product development process & should meet all the product quality requirements-Good knowledge of regulatory requirements related to engine & engine peripheral systems, alternate fuel system & able to drive design & developments. Ex Diesel, CNG, Hydrogen fuel cell, LNG etc-Good understanding of design & quality tools; DFMEA, DVP, SOR, SDS, R/1000, CPU-Knowledge of IPR is essential-Minimum 7-10 years of experience in commercial vehicle calibration-Subject matter expert in FE & driveablity optimisation-Thorough knowledge of engine emission current & future requirements & able to drive vehicle side calibration activities accordingly-Good understanding of vehicle calibration tools: INCA7 & VISU, Bosch s Common Rail system as well as CNG fuel system -Knowledge of SCR, DPF calibration & CAN system is essential
    1. Have an ability of quick decision making and can anticipate the development risk well in advance
    2. Has led a team of 25-30 people and got good managerial & leadership skills
    3. Has an excellent communication skills
    4. Can work well in CFT environment and ensure flawless project delivery
    5. Should be able to participate and add value in aggregate strategy discussions
    6. Should be able to demonstrate agility & ensure delivery as per business requirements
