Job Description

Skillset needed:

  • Knowledge of SDR (Soft Defined Radio) concepts, frameworks, standards
  • Experience with DSP (digital signal processing) algorithms and C++ implementations
  • Knowledge of MatLab / GNU Octave
  • Knowledge of real time application coding in RT LINUX environment using C++ programming language and Python scripting
  • Knowledge of detection and demodulation of RF signals
  • Knowledge of 3GPP series 36 and 38 or LTE and NR specification (RF part)
  • Experience with OFDMA signal processing (time and frequency grid)
  • Knowledge of time and frequency synchronization in LTE/NR radio
  • Capability to create algorithms and C++ implementation for Doppler and PN (phase noise) compensation
  • Knowledge of RF channel modeling in time (impulse) and frequency (complex) domain
  • Developing test software and drivers to support unit, integration, and system testing of SDR software functions
  • Knowledge of block demodulation, Polar and LDPC coding, scrambling processes in NR
Optional :
  • Knowledge of FPGA concepts, Verilog/VHDL coding and IP block implementation
  • Experience with SoC platforms such as the Zynq
  • Knowledge of GPGPU software implementation using CUDA or OpenCL, vector data processing and multi-threading
Education & Experience:
  • A Bachelors degree (or better) in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
  • At least five years of recent experience working with SDRs (This experience requirement will be waived for fresh PhDs with relevant thesis topic with hands-on realization of SDRs)
  • Deep understanding and appreciation of Mathematical concepts
  • Knowledge of statistics is a huge plus
