Responsibilities Provide in-depth product knowledge to FAEs to aid their customers in the selection, evaluation and integration of On Semiconductor image sensors into their products. Define demo system and reference design requirements, and develop settings, documentation, training and other collateral to complement image sensors. Work closely with imaging hardware and firmware developers, customers and Field Applications Engineers (FAEs) to optimize in-system image sensor performance. Capture, define and communicate requirements for new products - working with Marketing, Design and Technology teams throughout the lifetime of those products. Validate image sensor performance with Product Engineering and Camera Systems R&D teams., Requirements A Bachelors degree in Electronic, Computer Engineering, Physics or equivalent. A minimum of 4 years of related work experience Working knowledge of digital, analog and mixed-signal circuit design (e.g. Logic, ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, etc. ). Working knowledge of solid state image sensors and device physics Imaging system design or technical support experience Knowledge of image capture, video standards, image processing and display technologies. Self-starter, team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and pride in development of high quality products.Highly Desired Masters or PhD in electronics, software or imaging-related technologies Experience with image quality analysis techniques and industry respected tools (e.g. Imatest) Experience with CCD or CMOS image sensors, particularly in camera designs Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python). Design and/or debugging experience of embedded hardware and/or software particularly in camera or other imaging systems. Knowledge of image processing and camera control algorithms.
