Join us today and release yours.Why this role mattersPurpose of the Role :The purpose of the role is to lead on the specific contracts (xxxx) for both Change Practices and work with the Team Manager to maintain and improve service performance, resulting in cost effective operations and ensuring contractual SLAs are achieved. Contributing to continual improvement processes and performing Change Control activities for customers managed by their team.The purpose of Change Control is to ensure that standardised methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes to control to the customer s infrastructure, in order to minimise the number and impact of any related incidents upon service.The purpose of Configuration Management is to ensure that there accurate and reliable information about the configuration of services and the configuration items that support them. The role underpins the service management framework as without accurate data the organisation will be unable to deliver against customer requirements.What youll be doingYour Accountabilities :Responsible for implementing and setting the processes for Change Control and/or Configuration Management and setting strategic industry best practice in these critical ITIL processes across their contractsEnsuring that Change Control functions are carried out appropriately to minimise the number and impact of any related incidents upon the Customer s service.Influencing key stakeholders, ensuring the ITIL framework is implemented and linkages between practices are clear and relevant across EMS. In order to do this effectively they would need to have relevant professional/ technical ITIL knowledge.Owning at least one transformational activity to drive improvement within the wider Change Control and Configuration Management Team.Taking ownership of a Continuous Improvement initiative to ensure that Bronze level is maintained and working towards SilverAccountable for meeting all internal (KPI) and external (SLA) measures across the practice, to support and drive all internal working agreements (OLA) to increase customer satisfactionLeadership Accountabilities :Recognized as a role model within their peer group and prepared to challengeSignificant Contribution to TransformationWilling to adapt to a challenging or complex EnvironmentWorks collaboratively to develop better ways to work togetherWell also need to see these on your CVThe skills you need :Recommends and influences Change Control and/ or Configuration Management process including automation and improving the existing process and decides on communication and implementation of this.Decides appropriate governance and risk assessment and final decision on proceeding with complex change across the customer base.This is a customer facing role and alongside regular virtual customer contact is likely to require attendance to customer sites to service review meetings or to deal with escalations as a nominated escalation pointCover for Manager when necessaryContribute to the management of budget within their team as well as management of new business coming into the team with responsibility for any associated cost savingsBe cleared to the required security level to ensure compliance to contractual and governance requirementsExperience you would be expected to have :To be conversant with the Tools & Processes for Change ManagementProven track record of working collaboratively to develop better ways to work togetherThorough understanding of customer/contract or programme and knowledge of BT productsKnowledge and experience of ISO20k and ISO27001 standards, working in an ITIL conformant organization., *
