JOB DESCRIPTIONYourroleas alogisticsand distribution supervisor is to organise the storage and distribution of goods. Youll ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. you will also be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.KEY SKILLS*Forward Thinking*Strong Numerical and Analytical skills*Extensive Industry Knowledge* Should be a team playerKEY RESPONSIBILITYSupport inventory management consisting of reconciling and maintaining of finished goods inventory along with lot date at 3PL warehouse locations,Analyse and log purchase orders commensurate to existing stock availability and reduce shipping cost.Negotiate and support logistics costs meant for 3rd party logistics providers assisting yearly budget goals.Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to top management.Plan and arrange logistics required shipments.Establish and manage relations with warehouses, ocean carriers, customs broker, drayage providers, sales force and customers.Ensure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals inclusive of Shipping functions and Inventory Management.Lead training, hiring, career development and enrichment of all department associates.Develop spine surgery kits adhering to imperative FDA guidelines and within constraints of demanding time.Support simplification and standardisation of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies.Assist audits of vendor invoices and month-end processing to incorporate finance accruals.Oversee and monitor availability of stock to reduce shortages.
