The Marine People Manager will be leading a team of Marine People Advisors to ensure Human Resources support is always available for seafarers and is also extended to their families when required. He/she will also have an increased focus delivering on our value proposition to our seafarers. This role will play a key role in development of the people advisor strategy and be responsible for its implementation which will include performance management, career guidance, training and welfare for our seafarers, while also being the front runners in the moments that matter. The primary area of focus will be continuous improvement of the relationship with our seafarers and be available to our seafarers in the times of need.Other key tasks: Leading a team of Marine People Advisors, being accountable for delivering on the people strategy. Effectively contribute to the development and execution of the Marine People Advisor program. Point of contact for all marine HR related matters, such as payroll issues, illness handling & management, welfare and mental wellbeing for seafarers and their families, focus on person needs- end-to-end and deliver in terms of assistance & support Co-ordinate performance management of seafarers including performance reviews. Provide advice on potential career paths, manage / update training plans based on PM results, etc. Identifying training needs and execution of the required training. Own and issue Seafarer Employment Agreements support any queries and manage any contractual breaches. Provide Support to seafarers or their families in the moments that matter Act as partners to seafarers and their families for all HR related queries such as, o Leave applications, promotion, development etc. o Grievances handling o Assistance of the family / NOK SupportShow More We are looking forThe ideal candidate should be a Postgraduate/Graduate and has experience in people managing roles with good interpersonal and people skills. Self-starter and highly motivated individual who can work in a challenging environment. Educational degree in Human Resources. Has at least 3-5 years of crewing/marine operations/human resources or related experience. Analytical and resourceful and enjoys taking initiative to improve work processes. Possess good communication skills to be able to work diplomatically with seafarers and their families. Have good stakeholder management skills and must be able to find win-win solutions Listen actively and invites dialogue for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive performance and achieve results Prior team lead or management experience an added advantage Have excellent English language skills, verbal and writtenShow More,
