Operations Research Scientist for A reputed IT Organisation for Kolkata Location. 16th Jan 2017 Job DescriptionAs an Operations Research Scientist you will work on solving some challenging optimization problems across industries. The role will require quantitative programming skills needed to implement OR models and ability to formulate large scale optimization problems into models. The role will require experience in predictive analytics, statistical modelling.You will be working with the clients to define the business problem, help design/ conduct analysis, build models and work with a team of data scientists and engineers to implement the models in business environment.You should passionate to work on complex unstructured business problems and finding creative solutions.Designation will be commensurate with expertise/ experience. Compensation packages among the best in the industry.Desired Skills And ExperienceExpertise in Linear Programming, Integer Programming, Mixed Integer Programming, Network Flow models etc. Experience in demand forecasting, vehicle routing, scheduling, inventory management, revenue management and queuing is valuable. Expert proficiency in at least one structured programming language is a must. Command over at least one OR solver libraries is a must (e.g. CPLEX) Experience in at least one statistical tool/ language (e.g. R, Python or SAS) is desirable 8+ years of relevant experience (Industry + M.
