Job Specification Qualification : Bachelor of Medical Radiotherapy Technology / Diploma in Radiotherapy TechnologyExperience : Experienced / FresherSkills : Communication skills, Interpersonal Skills, Professional knowledge (Radiotherapy, Equipment handling, Radiation Safety), Emotional Stability and Behavioral approach. Job Description To check whether the machine is working properly on all working days before starting the work. To prepare the new patient for Radiation Therapy treatment. 1. To prepare the immobilization moulds for patient immobilization. 2. To take verification X- Rays. The technologist should accompany the patient to the Radiology department with prior appointment and take verification X-rays as per Radiation Oncologist requirement. To set up the patient on the treatment machine and deliver the Radiation treatment. To confirm the treatment area by taking the portal film as per the Radiation Oncologist requirement. To accompany the patient to the CT scan whenever the Doctors wants CT planning and to set the patient in the CT couch as per the Radiation Oncologist s requirement.To maintain all records as per the requirements of the department. 1. Radiation Therapy treatment chart. 2. Radiation treatment appointment chart 3. All the verification films, portal films of each patient. 4. Daily Radiation treatment registers. 5. Mould room register. 6. New patient register 7. Portal / Simulation film register. 8. Keeping the Radiation payment bill register 9. Keeping the Radiation Therapy payment bills To assist the Medical Physicist while doing quality assurance test and dose calibration. To assist the service Engineer whenever they visit the department. To monitor the cleanliness of the department, Linac room area and mould room. To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives To be aware of departments performance and objective. To carryout data collection/support in data collection. To adhere the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules. To perform any Job / task as and when by the superior. ,
