Job Description

    As an Application Support Engineer, youll help us build next generation highly scalable and robust solutions for various business functions for JP Morgan. Our Support Engineer(s) are open, approachable, collaborative, and enjoy working with passionate people. Theyre proactive in solving problems to help their team(s) succeed. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. Job Responsibilities:
    • You are an Engineer passionate about application stability and has excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities.
    • Review and analyze system issues and able to reproduce an error that is reported.
    • Run first level of triage for any application outage issues.
    • Able to deep dive into issues by looking at application logs, taking help of Splunk and other monitoring tools to help narrow down on the cause of failures.
    • Able to look up application code and trace down what is the causing the failure.
    • Should be able to manage triage calls involving the dependent teams and drive the call/meeting towards issue resolution.
    • Should be able to articulate what led to the problem and what was done to resolve the issue to all the required stakeholders.
    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience as application support engineer.
    • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and exposed to Web Applications (external customer facing apps) deployed on cloud platform is a must.
    • Log defects in defect tracking tools (JIRA), do a detailed root cause analysis and work with development team for resolution
    • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
    • Should be owning the triage and resolution process.
    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • Flexibility in terms of being available during odd hours if called upon when an issue strike(s)
    Working knowledge of SQL and Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude,
