Job Description

  • As our SAP FICO functional analyst within the IT department, you configure and support the SAP Finance and Controlling module in the ECC New GL environment with regards to the design, configuration, and testing of business processes.
  • The overall goal is to effectively integrate SAP technology into the business environment.
Key responsibilities:
  • You p lan and implement configuration changes, prioritized by the Business Domain Architect and the business users.
  • You Assist/steer the offshore support team (2 support analyst in our offices in India) in resolving production issues. You support continued use and maintenance of FI, CO modules and identification of root causes of recurring problems or trends.
  • You s pearhead the process of moving a change from development to production. You t est and deploy customizations, interfaces or enhancements supporting FI/CO and sales & distribution . Prepare and maintain change control and validation documentation
  • You have design solutions and guide project delivery teams, focusing on maintainability, standardization and integration.
  • You actively contribute to the definition of new ways of working and processes in line with, and support of new business requirements/models
  • You e ducate and train users on why and how processes and transactions are conducted.
  • You d efine, safeguard and improve Barco s worldwide Business Application templates and best practices to support the FI CO business processes.
  • You c reate and execute test scripts for user acceptance
  • You work together with different stakeholders & more specifically, you work closely together with the Business process expert of the Finance team.
  • You report to the Business Domain architect
We are looking for a new colleague who:
  • You have a m inimum of 5 years hands on experience of SAP FICO transactions and customizing
  • You have a good understanding of business processes in the domains impacting on SAP FICO
  • You are a strong communicator, with the social skills to connect with key(users), project people, IT community and external consultants.
  • You have the a bility to work independently , you re able to set priorities and demonstrate excellent organizing, planning and problem solving skills.
  • Of course you have strong knowledge of the following SAP modules :Financial Accounting (FI),General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Bank Accounting (FI-BL) , Product Costing (CO-PC), Overhead Management (CO-OM)and relevant experience with SAP BW and other data warehousing concepts
  • Knowledge of SAP VIM, Mobile Expenses and SAP solution manager is an asset
  • You are fluent in English
