Job Description

As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM s clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the clients organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.Your Role and Responsibilities As a Security Consultant in the org of Security, Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Services, you will be the primary contact for all audits, like SOX, would be a Go getter - who will communicate across regions / stake holders; someone who understands platform related Compliance and can speak and document them ; work extensively on Reporting and metrics understanding etc. If you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative workplace, IBM provides an environment where you will be challenged and inspired every single day.   • Use your knowledge in LINUX, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, Windows, to work with the Tech team to understand the Security and Governance Lifecycle
  • Will be a primary point of contact for all Audit tracking purposes
  • Collaborate with other support teams during application server related problems/changes for fixing Risks & Vulnerabilities
  • Drive dedicated metrics and process improvement
  • Monitor dedicated server alerts and sensitize them to the Technical team and drive for resolution
  • Handle customer/vendor interaction & co-ordinations.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum 11+ years of experience in Server operations and Lifecycle management.
  • Working knowledgeable of SACT, ESM, Sensage, EGRC, AOTS T & C
  • Prior experience in collecting Data points from Technical stake holders and converting them into trends for Management insights
  • Proficient in project and program management on infrastructure projects
  • Expertise in monitoring, metrics and standard methodologies in a complex server and client environment
  • Validated experience in the security field with working knowledge of any, anti-malware products, data encryption, vulnerability scanners, multiple operating systems (UNIX, Linux, etc.)
  • Proven ability in network architectures and hardware platforms
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Working knowledge on AIX/Linux/DB2 Server Administration.
  • Linux security skills
  • You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management

  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
