We are looking for a native Android developer, experience 1- 5 years. The role would involve working on a variety of Android applications for Android Phone, Tablets and TVs. This is not an entry level position; It would be expected that the candidate is experienced and already has created at least 3 Android apps which are in the play store. The candidate would be expected to code/ debug/ troubleshoot on his own and also provide guidance to the junior members of the team. Along with strong coding skills, this position also requires the candidate to have problem solving skills to convert business requirements into technical solutions and figure out the challenges and roadblocks during the same. Desired candidate profile is as follows Have the ability to work in a agile team environment and have passion for building high quality software. Has the ability to produce, and pays attention to, creating a great user experience and fluid UI Is keen on working with bleeding edge technology, and doing the necessary research Has strong knowledge of object oriented programming Has a good idea about performance tuning apps Has worked on integrating apps with REST based webservices/ data feed using JSON/ XML Has worked with integrating oAuth with apps (e.g. social network based login) Has knowledge about location (GPS) based app Has knowledge about video players in Android Has knowledge about Deep linking Has knowledge about app indexing Has knowledge about integrating google analytics Knowledge of a version control system (like GIT or subversion) is a plus Having knowledge about design patterns and OOP Paradigms is a plus Having knowledge about Android TV / leanback UI is a plus Salary is negotiable, depend on the skill set of the candidate.
