The ideal candidate will possess a solid knowledge of Java, cloud-based microservices development within AWS. This is a great position for a highly motivated self-starter that excels in fast paced environments, enjoys an agile environment, and brings a collaborative, team-oriented approach to software development!What you will be doing (Key Roles and Responsibilities):The Software Engineer will be responsible for coding and analyzing application software; support existing products and business applications; working with the team leads, product owner and QA Engineers to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions; and be responsible for designing and documenting technical requirements for products and business applications.

• Work closely with the Agile team to develop tokenization products and services for Cloud using a microservices approach.
• Follow and enforce SDLC and standards as well as make recommendations to improve both.
• Propose solutions and ideas to drive innovation and efficiency within the domain s products and services
• Troubleshoot various products and services already in production as needed.
• Participate in SAFe and Agile meetings.

What you bring (Experience Level & Mandatory Skills in potential candidate): Mandatory:

• Strong expertise with Java
• Strong expertise with designing and testing software for functionality, scalability, and reliability
• Strong expertise in Continuous Delivery; strong knowledge of build tools and best practices
• Strong expertise in Agile DevOps environments; advocates INVEST principles
• Proficiency with SQL, relational data modeling, and basic database schema design
• Develop in a test-driven manner; from acceptance testing to unit and integration
• Adhere to clean code principles, and mentor others
• Have a strong knowledge of software architecture and industry design patterns
• Maintain the level of reliability required from a high-volume, high-availability platform
• Support deployment of new features into production with zero platform downtime and no impact to end customers that are currently processing
• Collaborate with other teams (Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, Merchant Services, Support and so on) to define success criteria, establish priorities and distill business requirements into technical solutions
• Ability to plan baseline and peak capacity to ensure economic service provision with a 5 9s expectation in Cloud environments
• Strong adherence to Extreme Programming (XP) practices
• Have a strong sense of team over self

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTSSkills (Must have) - Core Java, SQL, REST/SOAP WebService, HibernateNice to have: JSF, Primefaces, Spring, Angular JS, Micro ServicesDesirable:

• Experience with Linux/ Unix
• Experience of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with Cassandra and Oracle
• Expertise with RESTful API design (HATEOAS)
• Experience with Maven, Gradle, SBT, Webpack or Grunt
• Experience with engineering software releases for cloud deployment
• Experience with Angular, React, Spring, Play or Akka frameworks
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience with Android or iOS
• Experience mentoring more junior engineers
• Experience with UX (user experience) design, Responsive Design

• AWS experience
• Instacluster and RDS knowledge
• Payments Industry experience
