Job Description

Senior Manager - Civil (East)Roles and Responsibilities;This role will be responsible for delivery of Architectural, Civil, Structural and Plumbing disciplines of the project within the agreed parameters. In order to meet these deliverables, the selected individual will require but not limited to-

  1. Ensure good understanding of the project requirements;
  2. Develop a plan of works for the delivery of the works;
  3. Coordination with internal and external stake holders (designers, internal teams and contractor team) and ensure smooth delivery of the project;
  4. Constantly review and identify alternate construction methodologies/ opportunities that can deliver a quicker project delivery;
  5. Knowledge of basic building codes and with ability/ aptitude to refer and discuss whenever needed;
  6. Understanding local construction/ building/ labour laws and aptitude to enforce the same;
  7. Understanding of Green Building Requirements;
  8. Lead and manage the deliveries of the PMC and contractors and ensure that the agreed deliverables are met with;
  9. Proactively lead and resolve all technical submissions, conflicts etc that may arise. This may need discussions with all internal and external parties;
  10. Ensuring highest level Quality Systems are enforced and maintained on site;
  11. Ensuring proper construction systems are maintained on site;
  12. Proactively identify areas of conflict or claim by the contractors, PMC etc and resolve the same in advance;
  13. Review and certify invoices, claims submitted by contractor, consultants;
  14. Participate during commercial discussions and proactively give inputs as and when required;
Requirements-
  • Graduate Civil Engineer with 8 12 years of work experience in Industrial/ Warehousing Projects;
  • Good Understanding of Construction Laws and National Building Codes;
  • Experience in delivering Green Buildings (preferable);
