Job Code : ENPP-02 Job Title / Position : Senior Piping Design Engineer Department : Plant Layout & Piping Design 2 Description : Area Lead/ Expert for a part of the plant of high to medium complexityor Lead Engineer of a project of low to medium complexity in piping layout department.Experience required on Process plants. Other type of plants viz power plants / water treatment etc will not be considered. Educational Qualifications : Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technical / Subject Knowledge :- Should have good understanding of local statutory norms related to plant layout and piping design.- Should have good knowledge of thermal behaviour of piping systems and pipe support selection. Accordingly, make economic piping layout during conceptual project phase.Software Tools & Technology : Smart Plant 3D, Plant Design System (PDS), Smart Plant Review, Microstation MS office applications Targeted Industries : Relevant job experience in design field in Engineering Consultancy in an EPC project execution environment. Key Role & Responsibility :Responsible engineer for piping design solutions in assigned areas of a project. He must have good knowledge for various equipment used in hydrocarbon/ petrochemical industry.He / she should be capable of following:- Preparing professional and economic plant layout and piping design concepts for AG and UG piping systems in 3D CAD (PDS or S3D) environment.- Define and optimize steel structure requirements for pipe rack, technological structures, pipe supports, operating platforms, field columns etc.- Providing loading information for Civil/Steel structure design.- Controlling/monitoring design quality, progress and schedule. He should be able to analyse design changes and incorporate these changes in design with minimum impact on budget and schedule.- Ensuring client requirements in design. Must understand, analyze and negotiate additional client requirements arising in Design review meetings and make suitable action plan.- Preparing/reviewing nozzle orientation for complex towers / columns / equipment having internals. - Review and prepare piping design deliverables (i.e. Bill of Material, Isometrics and Piping GA Drawings)- Identifying inputs required from other disciplines and ensure quality of deliverables of piping layout department, meeting project schedule.Soft Skills :Good communication skillsProactive approachAbility to guide team membersWilling to take responsibilityFlexibility for assignments & deputationsAge Group : 32-40 years Experience Bracket : B.E : 12-15 yrs, Diploma : 15-18 yrs Team Size Handled : 11 to 20,
