Senior Project Manager - TechnicalPosting Location : Location RaleighPosting date 6 days ago(4/22/2021 6:30 AM)Job ID 86378 Job summary The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work in support of our Partner and IT Sales business customers. You will apply your project management and scrum master expertise to the work streams delivering enhancements, break-fixes, and mid to large-scale projects. You will have the opportunity to join a highly cross-functional and collaborative program team and contribute leadership and subject matter expertise to areas requiring a multidisciplinary perspective. As a Senior Project Manager you will manage these work streams through the full project life cycle. You will be responsible for delivering quality outcomes within budget and timeline, while meeting the expectations of customer satisfaction and business adoption. You ll need to be motivated to engage with, guide, and enable their success, agile in response to changes and needs of various stakeholders, and analytical in identifying risks, opportunities, and dependencies across the program. Primary job responsibilities

  • Review Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Apttus backlogs and planned work schedules to provide guidance and planning on priority tasks for the upcoming sprints
  • Raise potential issues or blockers with technical leads and provide mitigation options and needs to resolve when identified during a sprint
  • Ensure that all deliverables and commitments meet quality standards and expectations
  • Provide flexibility in project management support, including waterfall and agile methods, adjusting approach for each project
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Red Hat or customer-specific
  • Manage stakeholders through clear communication, status updates, and RAID logs when delivering large-scale projects
  • Oversee and manage multiple vendor deliverables to align sequencing of integration testing and track key activities where a third party is required
  • Be positive and engaging maintaining a professional approach representing the Enterprise Applications Technical Delivery brand
Required skills
  • Record of having delivered large-scale projects for applications and services like Oracle EBS, Salesforce, Apttus, SAP, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree; masters degree is a plus
  • Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Expertise creating project plans, schedules, and resourcing plans with project management tools like Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
  • Understanding of sales, partners, and services organizations and their business processes
  • Successful experience in project management with third-party vendors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze complex data to identify potential risks and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Global mindset, demonstrated professional appearance and approach, and customer focus
  • Experience working with agile development teams (scrum or kanban) and tying sprint deliverables back to a critical project plan path
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; good at working with technology and subject matter experts in the business
  • Proven success as a project manager working with globally distributed, cross-functional teams on large-scale, enterprise projects
  • Experience with industry-leading requirements and task tracking tools like Smartsheets, Rally, Jira, Confluence, or similar
  • Comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
