We are looking for a Storage engineer to test and integrate storage solutions (mainly Network-Attached Storage and Object storage) along with different Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner products.Job Responsibilities include:Design, configure and test NAS(CIFS/NFS) and SAN (FC/iSCSI).Develop new testing methodology based on the product offerings, perform end to end testing (features, functionality, performance etc.) and develop field facing technical documentsSet up test environment that includes Hitachi storage solutions and Partner products and execute end to end testing based on the combined test plans and methodology that you draftTest storage solutions for Performance, Business Continuity, High Availability, Backup, Recovery and Archiving.Create and document detailed solution briefs, performance briefs, Implementation Guides and other technical documents that detail the configurations, results, key value proposition and Best Practices.Participate in external communications and social media campaign to drive maximizing the industry awareness of our partner ecosystem, capabilities and key featuresRequired skills:The ideal candidate will have:Bachelors degree in Engineering/ Computer Science or equivalentAt least 3-5 years of hands on experience with any one of the Hitachi/EMC VNX, Isilon/NetApp Network Attached storage and Object storage products.Minimum 2 years hands on experience to with various storage technologies such as Openstack Swift, GlusterFS and CephGood knowledge on key storage features like snapshot, replication, deduplication, compression etc.Good knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, LDAP/NIS, SMTP and SNMP.Good exposure to HFS+, Network File System internals, NFS/SMB protocols and testingFamiliarity with data protection technologies and related backup applications is a huge plusCompetent with at least one of the following scripting languages; Python, bash/kshIntermediate Operating System skills - Linux & WindowsKnowledge of performance analysis of storage solutions and how it relates to the hostsExcellent documentation skills in creating test procedures, workflows, diagrams and customer facing white papersA team player and fast technology adoption is a must, *Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, or other relevant degree
