Job Description

Purpose of the Job:Responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets with focus to approve MTTR and MTBF, managing maintenance budget, direct/indirect resources and instrumental in initial control during definition and installation of new systems. Network & Links:
• Internal : Operation Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Lean Manager, Quality Managers, Sourcing Manager, Planning Manager, Plant Maintenance Engineers and associates.
• External : OEMs and other vendors
Position will be based at Kolkata, WB and will be reporting to Site Managing Director. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs maintenance management by supervising maintenance personnel and
• establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
• Maintains manufacturing assets and facility, spare parts inventory
• Manages maintenance personnel by setting direction and priorities.
• Provides training and continuous development on all maintenance personnel.
• Performs Performance Evaluations on direct reports.
• verifies Performance Evaluations are being performed on technical work force by
• his/her direct report.
• Drives the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive
• Maintenance, not reactive.
• Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for complete plant equipments and utility
• Developing and maintaining quality standards for preventive schedule
• Deployment and know-how of TPM pillar Autonomous, focused improvement, Preventive and Opl will be advantage
• Setting and maintaining departmental budgets
• Mange excellent relations with key supplier and cross functional team members

• Respect of target task time in compliance with maintenance process

• Proficient in driving the locomotive within shed for diagnosis,
• Right Diagnosis of the repair to be done to solve the defects

Educational Requirements
1. Minimum of Engineering degree (Electrical/Mechanical) from a recognized University.
2. IT literate (MS Office)
3. English fluency
Desired Knowledge / Experience
1. 8 to 15+ years experience as Plant equipment manager /Maintainer in plant maintenance
2. Proven experience of troubleshooting various defects in utility and Plant equipment s
3. Good knowledge of HT,LT, Transformer,EOT ,compressor and DG maintenance etc.
4. Know how in 25Kv OHE and track maintenance will be added advantage
5. Ability to read and understand schematics drawings and CNC maintenance knowledge
6. Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems preferable
Language Skills: Proficient in English ,Hindi and Bengali language. Candidate knowing Bengali will have added advantage.
