Software EngineerPosting Location : Location US-RemotePosting date 2 days ago(2/28/2022 10:44 AM)Job ID 94609 About the job The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will create patches of fixes for Red Hat Process Automation software according to requests from customers and community of users and as reported by the Red Hat Quality Assurance team. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. What you will do
• Work with Red Hat and selected customer stakeholders to analyze and implement new features for the software Red Hat Process Automation and jBPM
• Analyze real data coming from tickets worked by Red Hat Support Services or raised by Red Hat consultants to develop solutions that match customer expectations
• Develop integration with AI predictable models, like PMML), to the Red Hat Process Automation workflow engine
• Design communication channels between Red Hat Process Automation workflow engine and external message brokers such Apache ActiveMQ and Apache Kafka
• Develop tests - unit and integration - over every new code developed and merged on the related Red Hat project
• Create custom containers and deploy in Kubernetes-based environment
• Work with writers to have the proper documentation related to the code as part of the product documentation or into the project community website
• Assist the Red Hat Support Service team and documentation writers to ensure that the information needed for the software installation is correctly set
• Assist the Red Hat Support Service team over any customer question related to the component that it is accountable for
• Write blog posts, create video content, and assist Red Hat Services team components of prior experience
What you will bring
• Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering or a related field and5+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
• Must have 4+ years of experience with application development using JavaEE
• Must have 3+ years of experience with business process model Notation (BPMN) and application development using SpringBoot
• Must have 2+ years of experience with developing business rules using Red Hat Decision Manager or Drools; developing workflows using Red Hat Process Automation or jBPM; integrating applications with Apache ActiveMQ or Apache Kafka; and Git commands and Jenkins pipelines
• Must have 1 year(s) of experience with container orchestration platforms based on Kubernetes
