Sports Manager (6 yrs Exp) Job Summary: The position is responsible for the oversight of event & planning related operations. The position will provide leadership to ensure successful execution of events from pre- booking to fulfillment. Identify event goals and ensure maximum operational efficiency. Sports events managers manage, support, and co- ordinate sporting events, both small and large. They work with teams and committees to manage the event in the most effective way.Key Responsibilities: Manage the operation of events inclusive of; sporting events, concerts and any other events. 6 years leadership experience in a fast- paced, high- volume, guest oriented operation. Outstanding interpersonal skills are required. Ability to perform a wide variety of supervisory responsibilities with time- sensitive deadlines. Extensive experience and knowledge of audience control techniques and principles. Demonstrated knowledge of principles of operation of a public assembly facility. Budget planning and experience. Possess the highest integrity and ethical standards. Highly organized, self- directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize. Demonstrated project management skills with coordinating efforts among various departments and staff levels. Ability to analyze procedures to ensure effectiveness. Detail oriented ability to keep accurate and detailed records. Preferred Education & skills: Masters degree in Sports Management. 6 years of experience working in the sports and entertainment industry. Ability to multitask. Excellent oral/ written communication skills. 6 years of experience planning and executing large, high- profile sports related events.,
