Job Description

S r. System Design Engineer (Substation Automation) Tasks:

  • The primary responsibilities of this position is to understand, analyze and interpret projects requirements, develop and design substation automation system and control solutions of various complexity for industrial and power utility applications.
  • The candidate will be required to interface directly with clients from time to time, so, excellent communication skills and very good command of English are essen
  • Design, engineer RFQ preparation
  • Knowledge on different architectures RSTP, PRP and HSR
  • Knowledge on Ethernet Switches, Router and Firewall
  • Knowledge on different type of communication Ethernet, Fiber optic, Serial RS232/RS485, PLCC.
  • Knowledge on Substation Automation and Communication Protocol SNMP, SNTP, Modbus, IEC60870-5-103, IEC61850, IEC60870-5-101 and IEC60870-5-104.
  • Knowledge on creating and reading Panel drawings/scheme
  • Knowledge on RTU, SAS and HMI functionalities
  • Knowledge on basic of Protection
  • Verifications of technical compliances of HW/SW systems
  • Collaborating for new solutions and technologies required in the business to drive new product and offerings
  • Working with minimum supervision, execute assigned projects while working with other engineering professionals in the team-based environment.
  • Accountable for performing assigned tasks on projects within the scope and sched An ability to learn new and varied protection and substation control technologies is essential. A self-starter able to work on several projects concurrently.

Qualifications and Salary Package:
  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering preferably with specialty in Electrical Power Systems
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills across the power sector with specific knowledge and practical application of IEC 61850
  • Minimum 5 years in Substation Automation System (SAS) Design and Engineering
