    Application Support Engineer Job Description (JD)Position-Application Support EngineerLocationPunjab/ Delhi NCR / Jammu/ Lucknow / KanpurExperience1 to 5 years (can be adjusted based on requirements)Interview Mode - VirtualJob SummaryWe are looking for an Application Support Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshoot application issues, and ensure the smooth operation of business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with users, development teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to resolve incidents, monitor application performance, and improve service quality.Key Responsibilities
    • Provide Level 1/Level 2 application support for production environments.
    • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related incidents and service requests.
    • Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
    • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
    • Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and database teams to resolve complex problems.
    • Manage incident, problem, and change management processes.
    • Support application deployments, releases, and maintenance activities.
    • Create and maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
    • Monitor logs, alerts, and batch jobs to ensure smooth operations.
    • Communicate issue status and resolution updates to stakeholders.
    • Participate in on-call support and production support activities when required.
    Required Skills
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of SQL and database querying.
    • Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or similar.
    • Understanding of application architecture and system integration.
    • Familiarity with Linux/Unix or Windows server environments.
    • Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools.
    • Knowledge of incident and problem management processes.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Preferred Skills
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
    • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
    • Familiarity with APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.
    • ITIL Foundation certification.
    • Experience supporting enterprise applications.
    Educational Qualification
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
