Job Description

    A Chef de Partie (CDP), or station chef,manages a specific section of a kitchen (e.g., grill, saut, or pastry) and is responsible for preparing high-quality food, maintaining food safety, and supervising junior staff. They ensure consistent dish presentation, manage station inventory, and report to the sous chef or head chef.
      • Station Management:Operate a specialized section of the kitchen (e.g., sauces, meat, fish, or vegetables).
      • Food Preparation:Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes, menus, and plating standards.
    • Supervision:Train and supervise Commis Chefs or kitchen porters within their designated station.
    • Food Safety/Hygiene:Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
    • Inventory Control:Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and inform superiors of low stock or ordering needs.
    • Collaboration:Coordinate with other sections and team members during service to ensure smooth workflow.
