Inventory Control Manager

Job Description

An Inventory Control Manager oversees a companys stock ecosystem. They are responsible for optimizing inventory levels, ensuring absolute system-to-physical accuracy, and minimizing holding costs. This role connects procurement, warehousing, and finance to prevent stock outs while eliminating obsolete or damaged goods.
• Inventory Monitoring: Track stock levels continuously using supply chain software to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
• Audits and Reconciliation: Perform routine cycle counts and full inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records. [
• Discrepancy Investigation: Identify root causes of stock discrepancies and implement preventative measures to reduce shrinkage and pilferage.
• Replenishment Strategy: Set minimum/maximum (min/max) thresholds and reorder points to maintain optimal inventory carrying costs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to ensure materials are available to meet demand.
• Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and manage warehouse and inventory control staff to maintain an efficient and safe warehouse.
