• On-Site Enforcement:Ensure workers follow safe practices and use PPE.
• Hazard Correction:Identify and immediately address unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Training Delivery:Conduct initial orientations and ongoing on-the-job safety training.
• Accident Response:Investigate minor incidents, report issues, and help with quick return-to-work.
• Daily Inspections:Perform regular walk-throughs to spot risks.
Safety Officer Responsibilities
• Program Development:Create, implement, and update safety policies and programs.
• Risk Assessment:Conduct formal risk assessments and audits.
• Compliance:Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Training Development:Design comprehensive training modules (beyond just delivery).
• Documentation:Maintain all safety records, reports, and registers.
• Emergency Planning:Organize drills and emergency response plans.
