The role focuses on building strong community relationships, empowering agents with the right tools and training, and driving sustainable sales growth.Key Responsibilities
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor local insurance agents to build a high performing sales network
• Drive business through agency channels by leveraging local market knowledge and relationships
• Conduct regular field visits to support agents in lead generation, client meetings, and policy closures
• Deliver product and compliance training tailored to the needs of tier2 market customers
• Monitor agent performance, set targets, and implement growth strategies to achieve sales goals
• Stay informed on competitor activities and emerging opportunities in the local insurance market
Requirements
• Graduate in any discipline, experience an interest in sales is preferred.
• 1 - 5 years experience in agency based insurance sales or BFSI sector
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with local communities
• Target oriented, self motivated, and willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory
• Knowledge of insurance products and IRDAI guidelines
