Job descriptionWe requires a candidate who have 4 - 5 years experience in Creative Designing in Knitwears (Sweaters) preferably graduated from NIFT/NID. A candidate should be Creative and Innovative, good at analysing trends and understand client needs & creating custom mood boards.KEY RESULT AREAS1. Producing sketches, designs and samples for presentation to customers and Experimenting with color, yarn, fabric and texture in co-ordination with Centex Creative Design Team. 2. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and Knitting technology.3. Developing new design concepts.4. Research on current trends and forecasts and making custom PPTs.5. Understanding customers needs and creating custom mood boards & selecting and designing Apparels and related items along with the team.6. Help bring new ideas for design and content creation using design expertise and eye for great design.7. Work closely with Creative Design Team to modify or adopt designs and also advice the team on Design feasibilities.8. Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to yarns, garments, colors and shapes.9. Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs.10. Sourcing, selecting and buying Knitted fabric, trims, fastenings and embellishments in co-ordination with the Operations Team.11. Developing a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations.12. Participate in Knitwear selection in collaboration with Product Merchandising during PDM.13. Create all tools and details necessary for Product Development to build garment tech packs.14. Manage Design team in order to capture broad vision and seasonal strategy in product design.15. Collaborate with Merchandising, Production & Technical Team to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity.16. Create & complete accurate tech packs for development.17. Design and develop seasonal launches, and all carry over styles and colors by delivery.18. Co-ordinate with Sampling team for the smooth execution and timely delivery of Samples & Collection.19. To provide Training and Guidance to the other designers related to knitting techniques and feasibilities.Required Candidate profile1. Self-motivated with a determination and desire to succeed.2. Should have good knowledge of Apparel Designing, Garment Manufacturing, Product Development, Product Knowledge, and Fabric Knowledge.3. Should have good knowledge of Photoshop, Corel Draw, and illustrator.4. Should be hardworking, honest and flexible for work.5. Should have team spirit and willingness to learn information.6.
