Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Head - Production to oversee and manage the production operations of our machine manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of projects from inception to completion while ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.Key Responsibilities:
• Production Management: Lead and manage all aspects of the production process, including planning, scheduling, execution, and delivery of machine manufacturing projects.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of engineers, production staff, and other personnel to ensure smooth production operations.
• Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of multiple projects, ensuring that all timelines, budgets, and resource allocations are adhered to.
• Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high production standards. Address any quality concerns and initiate corrective actions as required.
• Resource Allocation: Optimize resources (labor, equipment, raw materials) to maximize production efficiency and meet customer requirements.
• Cost Management: Control and monitor production costs to ensure that the project stays within budget, and propose cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and training.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between senior management, clients, and production teams, providing regular project updates and addressing any issues.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve production processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Implement lean manufacturing techniques where applicable.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any production-related issues or bottlenecks to ensure smooth operations.
• Reporting: Prepare and present detailed project reports, performance metrics, and status updates to senior management on a regular basis.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in a similar role in a machine manufacturing company, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, project management techniques, quality assurance, and production scheduling.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and CAD/CAM systems for production planning and monitoring.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex production challenges.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing large-scale production projects with strict deadlines and budgets.
• Compliance & Safety: In-depth knowledge of industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Skills:
• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the machine manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience in process optimization is a plus.
• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications will be considered an advantage.
