Job Description

    Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team and oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical expertise, and leadership to the kitchen while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.Key Responsibilities:Food Preparation and Cooking:
    • Plan, prepare, and execute menu items according to restaurant standards.
    • Experiment with and develop new recipes, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
    • Ensure food is cooked and presented on time, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
    Kitchen Management:
    • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food prep and service.
    • Manage inventory and order supplies while minimizing waste.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
    Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
    • Train new team members in cooking techniques, safety protocols, and menu knowledge.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor performance during service.
    Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
    • Stay updated on health and safety regulations and implement them in the kitchen.
    Customer Engagement:
    • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions.
    • Occasionally interact with customers to gather feedback and enhance the dining experience.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience as a Chef or relevant role in a high-volume kitchen.
    • Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and kitchen equipment.
    • Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Passion for food and creativity in developing unique dishes.
    Work Schedule:
    • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
    • May involve long hours standing and working in a high-temperature environment.
