Job Description

Objectives of the Position

• Application Engineer for application center has a responsibility of managing shift operation of application activities.
• His or her activities are closely connected to QC and CL application activities to proceed efficient and safer way.
• He or she is responsible for securing EHS in all of application activities.
• He or she is expected to acquire advanced coatings application skills/expertise and good communication in the company and global/regional community.

Main Tasks(1) Manage and implement application activities in safety with:

• High level of cross-functional coordination related to painting technology with QC and CL.
• Shift application management and operation.
• Continuous improvement on EHS issues collaborated with global/regional application and EHS community.
• Ensuring the safety standards in application activities.
• Implementation of safety culture & training in application center.

(2) Develop and keep efficient application activities with:

• Setting up operational KPIs and monitoring.
• Periodical reporting to supervisor, QC, CL and relevant global data base.
• Ensuring maximum utilization of spray booths.
• Process & robot parameter setup in electrostatic application.
• Problem solving & root cause analysis.
• Ensure atomizer healthiness through calibration & repro check.
• Responsible for manual application reproducibility.
• Measurement devices calibration & updation.
• Ensure machine & booth weekly maintenance/filter changing process as per schedule.
• Ensure SAP RDSL process flow & proper closure.
• Dust free & clean room management.
• Records & documents maintenance as per QMS requirement.

(3) Brush up expertise:

• Brush up application technology skill and knowledge including atomizer, robot, booth and the other relevant equipment and facilities.
• Brush up communication skill to ensure global/regional communication.

Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position

• Education: B tech in polymer science / Chemical engineering / Mechanical / Diploma in mechatronics/ Mechanical/ Electrical / MSc / Diploma in Surface coatings.
• Working Experience (min required exp.): min 5 years experience in automotive coating applications.
• Technical & Professional Knowledge: Automotive OEM application process and technology.
