Job Description

    Job Title: Horticulture ManagerRole SummaryThe Horticulture Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining landscaped areas, gardens, lawns, and green infrastructure. The role ensures aesthetic appeal, environmental sustainability, plant health, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.Key Responsibilities1. Landscape Planning & DevelopmentDesign, plan, and execute landscape layouts (lawns, gardens, plantations, seasonal beds).Select appropriate plants, trees, shrubs, and turf based on climate and soil conditions.Develop annual and seasonal planting plans.Oversee irrigation systems and water management.2. Maintenance & Plant HealthEnsure proper pruning, fertilization, pest control, and disease management.Monitor soil health and recommend improvements.Maintain lawns, hedges, indoor plants, and specialty gardens.Implement preventive maintenance schedules.3. Team SupervisionSupervise gardeners and horticulture staff.Allocate daily work schedules and monitor performance.Provide training on plant care, safety, and tool usage.4. Budget & Resource ManagementPrepare annual horticulture budgets.Manage procurement of plants, fertilizers, tools, and equipment.Control inventory and vendor coordination.5. Sustainability & ComplianceImplement eco-friendly landscaping practices.Promote composting, rainwater harvesting, and waste management.Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.6. Vendor & Stakeholder CoordinationLiaise with contractors, suppliers, and external landscape consultants.Coordinate with maintenance, facilities, and administrative teams.QualificationsBachelors/Masters degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, or Landscape Design.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (depending on seniority level).Certification in landscaping or turf management (preferred).Key Skills & CompetenciesPlant identification and care expertiseLandscape design knowledgePest & disease managementIrrigation managementBudgeting & procurementTeam leadershipSustainability awarenessProblem-solving & decision-makingInterested can send their updated resume on this id:hidden_email
