Role Description1. Computer Vision Model Development & Deployment

• Lead the design and implementation of computer vision models for tasks like object detection, tracking, segmentation, and action recognition.
• Develop and fine-tune object detection and segmentation models including YOLO (v4/v5/v8), Faster R-CNN, Mask R-CNN, EfficientDet, Vision Transformers (ViTs), etc.
• Implement real-time object tracking, motion analysis, and scene understanding using advanced deep learning techniques.
• Train and optimize models on custom datasets, ensuring robustness across different environments and scenarios.
• Contextualize the model for situations with poor detection e.g. occlusion, small sized fast-moving objects etc. through specific training of models on different situations.
• Identify the root causes for environments where model performs below benchmarks and create scalable computer vision layer across different environments.
• Leverage frameworks like TensorFlow, Pytorch etc. and work with a team of data scientists to drive impact across key KPIs.
• Optimize models for real-time inference using quantization, pruning, and model distillation.

2. Deep Learning Models for Video and Image Classification

• Develop and integrate classification models like CNNs, LSTMs, vision transformers etc to classify videos and images into defined set of possibilities.
• Understanding of reinforcement learning techniques e.g. Deep Q-Networks (DQN), Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO), A3C, SAC, and other RL techniques.
• Work on explainability methods (e.g., SHAP, LIME, Grad-CAM) to enhance transparency and interpretability of AI-driven decisions.

3. Experimentation, Iterative Improvement and Testing

• Identify opportunities for model improvement through continuous testing and refinement.
• Stay up to date with the latest AI research and incorporate new techniques to enhance model performance.
• Balance experimentation with delivery, while ensuring delivery timelines for product are managed.

4. Collaboration with Engineering and Product Teams

• Collaborate with product and engineering leads to ensure AI solutions meet product goals and contribute to the overall product vision.
• Work closely with engineering teams to deploy AI models into production.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on expertise with advanced AI models like YOLO, Vision Transformers, LSTM, RNN, CNN, and other deep learning models.
• Expertise in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex challenges in image and video processing.

Nice-to-Have SkillsQualifications

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in AI, with a strong background in object detection, image and video processing, and computer vision.
