Role DescriptionPosition Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled QA Test Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in Functional testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in functional testing, Selenium automation testing, performance testing, and experience with JIRA for tracking issues and managing test cases. • Write, execute, and maintain manual functional test cases for software applications. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for both new features and existing functionality.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium with Python. Demonstrate the ability to automate repetitive test cases to increase efficiency.
• Perform regular regression testing on new builds to ensure that existing features are not broken by new code changes or enhancements.
• Perform performance testing to evaluate application responsiveness and stability.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and documentation.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide feedback to the development team.
• Utilize JIRA for issue tracking, managing test cases, and reporting testing progress.
• Document test scenarios, test cases, and test results accurately. Provide detailed reports on test execution and defect status to relevant stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior test engineers in best practices for testing and automation.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice-to-have skillsQualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Functional testing and Test automation.
• Strong experience in writing and executing detailed manual test cases.
• Proficiency in Selenium and experience with other automation tools.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks, particularly Cucumber, for test automation.
• Solid understanding of regression testing and experience in performing regression suites for multiple iterations of a product.
• Knowledge on Performance testing and API testing is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with JIRA for project management, Test Management, and bug tracking.
• Solid understanding of the financial domain, with experience in testing financial applications.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Certification in QA or software testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging with stakeholders.
